Supporting our church
Our Church relies on the generosity of its congregation and supporters to continue serving the community. Following the pandemic, our income has been significantly impacted, yet the cost of maintaining our beautiful church remains around £80,000 per year. Your support, whether large or small, makes a tremendous difference in sustaining our church’s mission and upkeep.
Ways to Give
There are several ways you can contribute:
1. Give Online
For a quick and easy way to make a single donation, including Gift Aid, you can give online. Your donation will go directly towards supporting the work and maintenance of the church.
2. Regular Giving Through the Parish Giving Scheme
Most of St Michael’s Church’s income comes from regular donations made through the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS). This secure and efficient system allows you to:
Donate via Direct Debit.
Have Gift Aid automatically claimed on your behalf.
Opt to increase donations annually in line with inflation.
Give monthly, quarterly, or annually.
Maintain anonymity if preferred.
There are three ways to register for the Parish Giving Scheme:
On Paper: Download and complete a PGS Pirbright Gift Form.
By Telephone: Call the PGS service at 0333 002 1271 (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM).
Online: Visit the Pirbright Church page on the PGS website, click on “Give Now”, and follow the instructions.

3. Give by Cheque or Bank Transfer
You can also donate via cheque, BACS transfer, standing order, or Gift Aid your contribution. For more details, please contact our Assistant Treasurer.
