Diocese of Guildford

St Mark’s, Wyke and St Michael and All Angels, Pirbright
Children and Families Leader
Part time post, 0.5 (FTE)
Salary £25,000 full time equivalent

We are seeking a Children and Families Leader to help us grow and strengthen our ministry across the two flourishing parishes of Pirbright and Normandy. This is a key appointment as we continue to build on the strong foundations already in place and move into an exciting next chapter in our ministry with children and families.

Over the past year we have seen some really exciting and engaging events in the community that have drawn in a number of young families and children. Our outward facing services and gatherings are welcoming multiple new families and creating real momentum. This role will help us build on what has already begun and take it further.

Our vision is to see children and families welcomed, discipled and encouraged in faith as an active part of both church communities. The successful applicant will work closely with the Vicar and with our volunteers to strengthen what we already have and to create new opportunities for mission and ministry including visiting our two local schools and pre-school.

Could this be you?

  • Are you passionate about helping children and families grow in their faith?
  • Do you have the people and organisational skills to support and motivate volunteers?
  • Can you bring both experience and creativity to help us build for the future?
  • Do you enjoy working both as a leader and as part of a team?

To find out more, please contact Revd George Watkinson on 07711 944327.
Attached is the full job description and application form which can be submitted to the Parish office at office@stmarkswyke.org.uk

Interviews will be held during the week beginning 5th January 2025 with a start date asap.
