OUR CHUCH VISION & VALUES

Our Story

In January 2023, our vicar was invited by the Bishop of Guildford to come and breathe new life into St Michael’s and St Mark’s — two village churches with deep roots and a heart for their communities. The call was simple: to bring energy, hope, and the good news of Jesus to families and younger generations, and to help our churches flourish again.

Since then, we’ve been working to make church something you experience not just on a Sunday — but in everyday life. We’ve launched new gatherings like Church on the Green and our All-Age Service at St Mark’s, all designed to meet people where they are.

We’re not just here to invite people in. We’re here to bring the church out — into the heart of the community.

Our Vision

To know Christ and to make Him known.

This simple phrase shapes everything we do. Whether we’re worshipping together on Sundays, chatting over coffee, praying with a neighbour, or running a children’s event — our goal is to know Jesus more deeply and to help others encounter Him too.

Our Values

Worship
We exist to worship Jesus. He is at the centre of our lives and our gatherings — and we come together to glorify Him with our whole hearts.

Community
Church is a family, not just a service. We want everyone to feel welcome, known, and valued — because we all belong in the body of Christ.

Making Disciples
We are growing to become more like Jesus. As His disciples, we’re learning, changing, and following Him — and helping others do the same.

Our Mission

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28:19–20

We are a church on mission — called to share the love of Jesus, proclaim the gospel, and make disciples in our villages and beyond. This is our purpose, our privilege, and our passion.
