The Power of Prayer

Prayer is an essential part of our Church, offering a way to connect with God, seek guidance, and find peace. Whether you are seeking comfort, strength, or simply wish to spend a quiet moment with God, we welcome you to engage in prayer with us. Our church is open every day 10am-4pm, welcome.

Ways to Engage in Prayer

Prayer Requests

If you would like us to pray for you or someone you know, you can submit a prayer request by:

  • Contacting us via email at office@stmarkswyke.org.uk

  • Speaking directly to a member of our clergy or pastoral team.

Prayer Gatherings

We hold regular prayer meetings where we come together as a community to pray for our church, our community, and the wider world. These gatherings provide an opportunity to deepen faith and experience the strength of collective prayer.

Healing Prayer

For those in need of comfort, renewal, or strength, we offer opportunities for healing prayer. These may take place during services or by appointment with a member of our prayer ministry team.

The Lord’s Prayer

Jesus taught his disciples to pray with these words:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever.

Amen.
